NEW! You can now use gifs, stickers, and more in your comments!

UX Update: Search bar is expanded by default in your main list for quick and easy searches.

UX Update: Quick add is now more condensed in lists.

Design Fix: Improved the look and feel of quick scroll in lists.

Bug Fix: Comment box resets correctly after adding a comment.

Bug Fix: Add button will appear immediately after converting an item to a list.

UX Update: Set members, visibility, reminders, and due dates directly in quick add. Improved look and feel of the expanded editor as well.

Product Update: You can now set visibility for your items regardless of if you have a premium subscription. Free storage has also expanded to 250 items or lists.

UX Update: Added terms and privacy links to premium subscription flows.

Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where editing an item wouldn't detect any changes to save.

NEW! You can now sign in with Apple for more convenience and privacy.

UX update: The add friend button has been moved to the front of your friends bar, so you don't have to scroll all the way to the end anymore.

NEW! We love hearing your thoughts and feedback about Cereal! Leave a review from inside the app under the main menu (tap on your profile picture in your main list). You can also find our Twitter and Discord server from inside the About menu.

Design Update: When inviting friends to join you on Cereal, you now have more options for how to share the app download link.

March 24, 2021

NEW! You can now use @mentions and #hashtags in comments. By commenting with a #hashtag, the item will now be tagged that hashtag.

UX Update: We've updated to using comments instead of messages for discussions. This change was made to encourage more async interactions when collaborating on items.

Bug fix: When tapping on "Where's my magic link?" during sign in you won't be redirected with a new email open.

Bug fix: Fix username not getting updated when viewing a friend's page.

Bug fix: Fix crash in editor when deleting a member in the share field and adding someone new.

NEW! You can now add hashtags to your items. Use hashtags to organize items across items and lists. When you add a hashtag, you can then tap on the hashtag to view other items you've tagged and items your friends have tagged.

NEW! You can now also add links to your items. Upon saving your item, the link will become tappable.

Design Update: In list view, the amount of content you can preview has increased.

Design Update: Expanding the quick add editor will make the editor full screen.

Design Update: Added UI distinction between completed and incomplete items.

Design Update: Indicate updated items with bold font instead of a dot indicator.

UI Fix: Shorten date string format for activity posts.

Bug Fix: Fixed timing of when a person is indicated as being online.

Bug Fix: Hide share field for items where it is not applicable.

Bug Fix: Keep cancel button visible in search mode when the text field is not in focus.

Bug Fix: People now show up in alphabetical order when editing the share field or adding a @mention.

NEW! You can now set personal reminders with repeat intervals of daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

Design Improvement: You can now quickly add multiple items in a row with Quick Add. Dismiss Quick Add by tapping outside of the editor.

Design Improvement: Increase maximum character count for each item.

Performance Update: Reduce battery usage when app is backgrounded.

Notifications: If a completed item is part of a list, add list description to the completed push notification.

Bug Fix: Swiping on the background while adding reminders and due dates in the full task editor will no longer exit the full task editor.

UI Bug Fix: Increase size of font in empty states.
